Move a DMA card to a new PC or reinstall Windows

Your firmware lives on the card. It's bound to the card's DNA ID, not to either PC's hardware ID (HWID), and so is your activator key. So when you change a PC or reinstall Windows, the card keeps its firmware and you only redo the parts around it. MiTM is different, because it's tied to your second computer instead of the card.

A new main PC

The card keeps its firmware, so there's nothing to flash again. You only need to check that your build still fits the new PC.

Vanguard needs Intel.
That goes for every build. Private also needs Intel 11th gen or newer. Which builds fit your card has the board and CPU rules for each build.
A new msinfo32 report.
Whether we need one for the new PC: TBD. Tell us in your ticket that your main PC changed, and we'll say if we need it.

Moving the card over:

Save the new PC's BitLocker recovery key first. Main PC Setup shows how
Shut the old PC down, unplug it, touch bare metal on the case and take the card out by its edges
Pick a slot on the new PC with Your Main PC and fit the card the same way as the first time, with Main PC Setup
In the new PC's BIOS, turn Fast Boot off and set the card's slot to its fastest speed. If the card doesn't show, step the speed down one at a time. How to open your BIOS has each brand

The card is already flashed, so the new PC can boot into Windows with it in. The rule about never booting Windows with the card in is only for an unflashed card.

A new second computer

Nothing on the card changes. You set the new machine up the same way as the old one:

MewTools, with Install DATA Driver (FTDI FTD3XX), from Second PC setup. Add the JTAG driver too if you plan to flash from this machine later
The card's data port into a rear USB 3 port, with the cable that came with the card
The activator and your key. The key is bound to your card's DNA ID, not to this computer
Your aim device driver, if you use one: MAKCU or FERRUM
The speed test passes

Your Blurred license is locked to the second computer it runs on, so a new machine needs a reset. Blurred does resets, not us, so open a ticket in Blurred's Discord.

On MiTM, your slot is locked to your second computer. Ask in your ticket before you switch machines and we move your slot to the new one. MiTM firmware has the rest.

Reinstalling Windows

This section is for a normal reinstall with a flashed card. If Windows started with an unflashed card in it, Back up and reinstall Windows is the guide for you.

On the main PC.
Nothing for the card is installed there, and a reinstall doesn't touch the firmware. You don't reflash, and you can leave the card in. If you updated the BIOS too, check Fast Boot is still off, then cold boot.
On the second computer.
Everything on the list under A new second computer goes back on. Whether Blurred sees a fresh Windows on the same machine as a new PC: ask Blurred before you reinstall.

More than one card

Every card has its own DNA ID, so every card gets its own build and its own file, named with that DNA ID. More than one card covers flashing them.

Each card in its own main PC.
Each card keeps its own firmware wherever it goes, the same as moving to a new main PC above.
Two cards on one second computer, or two cards in one main PC.
