Choosing your DMA firmware: every build compared

Pick in this order. Your game's anti-cheat first (Which anti-cheat does my game use?), then your CPU, then how many people you're OK sharing a device with (Firmware tiers). What firmware is

Your card is only hardware. Firmware tells it what to do.

• It lives on the card, not on either computer.
  You flash it (write it onto the card) from your second computer.
• It decides what your main PC sees.
  Firmware makes the card show up on your main PC as a normal device instead of a DMA card. Your main PC sees whatever device the firmware tells it to. That includes the IDs and serial number, and most importantly the behavior.
• It passes on memory reads and writes.
  Your second computer asks for memory. The firmware reads it from your main PC and sends it back down the cable.
• The factory firmware isn't what you run.
  Cards ship with firmware that only proves the card works. Never boot your main PC into Windows with the card in until yours is flashed. Main PC Setup explains why.

What every build has in common

This goes for every build except MiTM, which works differently (see MiTM under the table).

• It's bound to your card's DNA ID.
  A different card needs a new firmware. How to read your DNA ID.
• It needs a 75T or a 100T card.
  MiTM does too, and a 35T runs none of them. Why the 100T explains the sizes.
• Delivery.
  It usually arrives in about 2 hours, 24 hours at most, once you've sent your DNA ID, your card's model and an msinfo32 report from your order page.
• Flashing.
  You flash it yourself with MewTools, our free tool. Our team helps you in your ticket if you get stuck. Flashing your firmware shows you how.
• Motherboard.
  Every build needs a board from 2020 or newer. On AMD, B550 boards are mixed. If yours doesn't work, we fix it or replace it. In the very rare case it still doesn't work after that, we refund you. • Upgrading.
  While you're in warranty, 65% of what you paid comes off the build you move to. Firmware warranty and upgrades has the rest.

What the words mean

• Device.
  The real hardware your firmware makes your card look like. Every firmware and tier is its own device. What a device is explains it.
• Shared.
  Other customers are on the same device as you, each with their own serials. What shared firmware means explains it.
• Slots.
  How many people can be on one device. Premium T1, T2 and T3 have 50, 25 and 5, and the shop page shows how many are left. On MiTM, slots are just how many people we take into MiTM, and every MiTM user has their own device.
• Rotates.
  When needed, new buyers go onto a new device. That happens when a device gets too many people, or when it's blocked or detected. Premium moves on once a tier's slots are full. If you already own a build, you keep your device and never re-flash for a rotation. If a new device was added because yours was blocked or detected, you re-flash onto it while in warranty. Out of warranty you don't get the new device. You get 40% of what you paid off your next firmware instead.
• Warranty.
  A new device if we confirm and announce that your device is blocked or detected. On MiTM it's once we confirm it, since every MiTM device is unique. You get a replacement if the firmware can't be made to work with your board. You can extend a warranty for $100 a month if you ask in a ticket before it ends. Upgrading to a new build is usually better value.

The builds, in order

EA means EA Javelin. Vanguard needs an Intel main PC on every build, MiTM included. Advanced and Premium run Vanguard only without the IOMMU restriction, and nearly everyone has it. • MiTM.
  Not a tier. Every customer gets their own setup instead of sharing a device. Your second computer and the MiTM software show your main PC a genuine PCIe device. It's tied to your second computer, not the card. It's a key for one, three or six months with a one-time entrance fee, and it only works while you keep renewing. You make your own config for each game. MiTM firmware has the rest.

Nothing is undetected forever

Our firmware is undetected. But any build can be detected at any time, ours or anyone else's, at any price. Anti-cheats change without warning, so we'll never promise you won't get banned. Is DMA detectable? explains how people get caught.

• Fewer people on a device.
  The fewer people on a device, the better your odds. Higher tiers also get more emulation work and more of our time. They cost more, so the people on them are mostly legit players who won't get the device flagged by raging.
• If it does get blocked or detected.
  Both are handled the same way. Inside your warranty, once we confirm and announce it (on MiTM, once we confirm it), open a ticket and we move you to a new device. Outside your warranty, 40% of what you paid comes off your next order. Firmware warranty and upgrades shows how to claim.
