RDMA has no DMA card. A driver on your main PC sends its memory over Ethernet to your second PC, where your software reads it. So the network between your two PCs does the job the card's cable does on our other builds. Get it ready before you open your setup ticket and the setup goes quicker.
Your internet speed doesn't matter
RDMA runs between your two PCs on your own network, so your internet plan doesn't come into it. What matters is the link between the two PCs.
Two ways to connect
- Both PCs on your router.
An Ethernet cable from each PC to the same router. Nothing else to set up. - One cable straight between them.
Faster than going through the router. If your main PC only has one Ethernet port, that cable takes it off your router, so it needs Wi-Fi or a second port for the internet. Tell us which way you've gone in your ticket.
RDMA runs over Ethernet, so both PCs need a cable, not Wi-Fi.
No Ethernet port?
A USB to Ethernet adapter works, as long as it's at least 1 Gbps, and a 2.5 Gbps one is better. Plug it into a USB 3 port: USB 2 tops out below 1 Gbps.
Cables
A Cat 5e cable or newer carries both 1 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps. If you're buying one, Cat 6 costs about the same.
Before your setup ticket
Who RDMA is for
- You're on AMD and want Vanguard.
Our card builds that run Vanguard need Intel. DMA on AMD has every build that runs on AMD. - Your motherboard doesn't work with DMA.
- You don't want to buy a card.
On Intel, or if you only play EAC games, a card build or MiTM does the job just as well, and it comes down to what you prefer.
Keys
You buy RDMA as a key for 1 month, 3 months or 6 months, and buy another whenever you want to keep going. You're covered for as long as your key is renewed. A ban on its own isn't a warranty claim. Monthly keys compares it with MiTM and AMD VGK.
You don't need an account, this tells us what to write more of.
