Which anti-cheat does my game use?

Find your game, see which anti-cheat it uses, then pick a build made for that anti-cheat. If a game runs more than one and any of them isn't on a build's list, ask before you pay.

Every build at a glance

"Ask us" means it hasn't been confirmed on that build yet, so post on the support forum before you buy.

No build runs Vanguard on AMD, and Private needs an Intel CPU from 11th gen on. Advanced and Premium run Vanguard only without the IOMMU restriction, and nearly everyone has it, so for VALORANT get Private on Intel. MiTM is a key you renew, tied to your second computer, which can't be a laptop. MiTM firmware explains it, and Choosing your firmware compares the builds on everything else.

Easy Anti-Cheat games

• Fortnite.
  Easy Anti-Cheat, and BattlEye too. Epic's support site has pages for both. Advanced, Premium and MiTM are made for both.
• Rust.
  Easy Anti-Cheat.
• Apex Legends.
  Easy Anti-Cheat.
• Hunt: Showdown 1896.
  Easy Anti-Cheat.
• Dead by Daylight.
  Easy Anti-Cheat. From September 2 to 15, 2026, Behaviour swapped it on Steam for a Denuvo Anti-Cheat trial, then removed Denuvo. More trials of other anti-cheats may follow, so check before you buy.
• ARC Raiders.
  Easy Anti-Cheat. Embark also added Denuvo Anti-Cheat in 2026, so you need a build made for both: Advanced, Premium T1, T2 or T3, or MiTM.
• THE FINALS.
  Easy Anti-Cheat. Embark added Denuvo Anti-Cheat here in late 2025, so you need a build made for both: Advanced, Premium T1, T2 or T3, or MiTM. Embark is also testing its own anti-cheat, Elytra, on some players, so ask before you pay.
• Also on Easy Anti-Cheat.
  Elden Ring Nightreign, Halo Infinite, Fall Guys, Sea of Thieves, Squad and Lost Ark.

BattlEye games

• Rainbow Six Siege.
  BattlEye, plus Ubisoft's own detection.
• Escape from Tarkov.
  BattlEye.
• GTA V and GTA Online.
  BattlEye, since September 2024.
• Also on BattlEye.
  Destiny 2, DayZ, Arma 3, Arma Reforger, Unturned, and War Thunder, which moved from Easy Anti-Cheat to BattlEye in December 2024.

VAC games

• Counter-Strike 2.
  VAC, on Valve's own matchmaking. FACEIT runs its own anti-cheat, separate from VAC, and none of our firmware works on FACEIT.

  Deadlock, Dota 2 and Team Fortress 2.

Ricochet games

• Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
  Ricochet.
• Modern Warfare III and Modern Warfare II.
  Protected by Team RICOCHET's systems.

ACE games

• Delta Force.
  ACE (Anti-Cheat Expert).
• Arena Breakout: Infinite.
  ACE (Anti-Cheat Expert).
• Also on ACE.
  Strinova and Wuthering Waves.

EA games

• Battlefield 6.
  EA Javelin Anticheat, EA's own kernel anti-cheat, which needs Secure Boot on. It's the "EA" on every build's list.

  Battlefield 2042, EA SPORTS FC 26 and skate.

Games on other anti-cheats

Every build is made for these.

• Overwatch 2.
  Blizzard's own anti-cheat.
• Marvel Rivals.
  NetEase Game Security.
• PUBG: Battlegrounds.
  BattlEye, which BattlEye's site lists it under, plus Krafton's own anti-cheat, listed on Steam as Krafton Security Services.
• FiveM.
  Cfx.re's own anti-cheat, on top of GTA V. It isn't the same as GTA Online.
• Roblox.
  Hyperion, made by Byfron, which Roblox owns.
• GameGuard.
  MIR4, Undecember and Combat Arms: Reloaded. Helldivers 2 is moving from GameGuard to Easy Anti-Cheat, so check which one it runs when you buy.
• XIGNCODE3.
  Black Desert, Eternal Return, Trove and DJMAX RESPECT V.
• Denuvo Anti-Cheat.
  ARC Raiders and THE FINALS run it on top of Easy Anti-Cheat, so for those it's Advanced, Premium or MiTM.

Games no build is listed for

Genshin Impact uses HoYoverse's own anti-cheat, which isn't on any build's list yet, so ask on the support forum before you buy.

Your game is not here

If your game isn't listed, here's how to check it yourself.

• The Steam store page.
  Steam store pages have to show a kernel-level anti-cheat, and many show other anti-cheats too.
• The game's own support site.
  Search the game's name with "anti-cheat". The support page for launch errors usually names it.
• The anti-cheat's own site.
  BattlEye lists the games it protects on its website.
• Your PC.
  The anti-cheat usually has its own folder inside the game's install folder.
• Still not sure.
  Post the game on the support forum and we'll tell you which build is made for it.

When a game changes anti-cheat

Games add or swap anti-cheats in an update, sometimes without saying so. If yours changes after you buy, your build is still only made for its original list, so check this page again before you buy another.
