35T vs 75T vs 100T: why we only sell the 100T

The number on a DMA card is the size of its FPGA chip, and bigger firmware builds need more room. What 35T, 75T and 100T mean, and why we only sell the 100T.

35T, 75T and 100T are three sizes of the same Xilinx Artix-7 chip. A bigger chip has more room for firmware, and every build we sell needs a 75T or a 100T. A 100T costs about the same as a 35T or a 75T, so there's no reason to buy less room. That's why it's the only card we sell.

What the number means

Every DMA card is built around an FPGA, a chip that its firmware sets up to act as a particular device. Xilinx makes the Artix-7 in a few sizes, and the number in the name is the size:

  • 35T.
33,280 logic cells and 1,800 Kb of block RAM.
  • 75T.
75,520 logic cells and 3,780 Kb.
  • 100T.
101,440 logic cells and 4,860 Kb.

Logic cells are the space the firmware has to work with, and block RAM is its working memory. The more advanced the firmware, the more of both it uses.

The 100T also has 240 DSP slices, the part of the chip built for fast maths. Like every Artix-7, it's made on a 28 nm process.

More room means more firmware

Every feature in a build uses some of the chip's logic and memory, and our builds do more than a 35T has room for.

  • Every build fits a 100T.
Advanced, Premium T1 to T3, Private and MiTM all run on it, so moving up to another build never means a new card.
  • Your PC still has to suit the build.
Private needs an Intel 11th gen or newer, and Vanguard runs on Intel only on every build. The builds, in order has the rest.

What size does not do

How fast memory reaches your second computer comes down to the USB connection, the cable and the firmware, not the size of the chip. A 100T doesn't read faster than a 75T just because it's bigger.

Why ours

The GODLIKE 100T with its parts numbered: 1 the gold strip that goes into the PCIe slot, 2 the metal bracket that screws to the case, 3 the DATA port, 4 the JTAG port, 5 the kill switch

  • Two USB-C ports.
One carries data to your second computer and the other is a JTAG port for flashing, so you don't need to buy a separate programmer. Flashing your firmware walks you through it.
  • A kill switch on the bracket.
It turns the card off without opening the case. Never flip it while your PC is on. How the kill switch works.
  • A heatsink on the chip.
It comes fitted at the factory, so there's nothing to add.
  • Tested before it ships.
It has a three-month hardware warranty and ships with factory firmware. DO NOT boot into Windows with the card plugged in until it's flashed. Main PC Setup explains why.

If you already own a 35T or 75T, Already own a DMA card? shows how to check which one. If you need a card, the GODLIKE 100T DMA Card page has the full specs.
