"Unable to load 'FTD3XX.dll' or 'leechcore_driver.dll'" means your DMA software couldn't find the file it uses to talk to the card's data port. Newer versions name FTD3XXWU.dll instead. Most DMA software is built on LeechCore, and LeechCore looks for that file in the software's own folder.
It stops before the software ever tries the card. So the card, the cable and the port aren't the problem, and Device Manager can look perfect while you get this.
How to fix it
- Extract the whole download.
Don't run the software from inside the zip. Extract every file into one folder and run it from there. - Check your antivirus.
Open Windows Security, then Virus & threat protection, then Protection history. If it removed a file from that folder, ask your software's support what to allow. Don't turn Windows Security off completely. - Download it again from your software's maker and extract it fresh.
- Ask your software's support.
The file comes with their software, so they know which version goes in. For Blurred or Streck that's their own Discord: Blurred's or Streck's.
Never download the file from a "free DLL" site. If your software's maker tells you to add it yourself, it comes from FTDI's own site. FTDI makes the USB chip on the card.
Related errors
- The next line is often MemProcFS: Failed to connect to memory acquisition device. That only says the software gave up. This error is the cause.
- Once the file loads, a card it can't reach shows as Unable to connect to USB/FT601 device.
- info.db not found is the same kind of problem, a file missing from the software's folder.
Other errors are in DMA error messages.
