FPGA: TINY PCIe TLP Algorithm auto-selected! What it means and the fix

Your DMA software fell back to tiny, slow reads because the card can't read memory. Most of the time you haven't run the activator. How to fix it.

"FPGA: TINY PCIe TLP Algorithm auto-selected!" means your DMA software tried to read your main PC's memory the normal way, the reads didn't come back, and it dropped to tiny reads instead. With our firmware the most common reason is simple: you haven't run the activator. The card can't read memory until you activate it with your key.

What it means

Most DMA software is built on LeechCore, and this is its message. It reads memory in big pieces when it can. When those reads fail, it falls back to tiny ones, a small piece at a time, which are much slower.

Everything else can look fine. The flash worked, the lights are on and the card shows in Device Manager. Without the activator you still get this. It's often the line just before [FAIL] VMM INIT FAILED. or Unable to locate valid DTB, so look above those in the log too.

How to fix it

  • Run the activator.
It's on your order page with your key. Open it on your second PC, paste the key, tick remember key and press activate device. A tick means it's active. Your activation key covers it.
  • Check your key has time left.
The activator shows it. Once a key runs out, the card can't read memory after your main PC restarts. A new key is free, so ask in your ticket before it runs out.
  • Activate again after every restart of the main PC.
    That includes a cold boot.
  • Close your software and open it again once the activator shows the tick.

On MiTM, use the MiTM activator and your MiTM key. It's a different app.

Still there after activating

Then the reads are failing on the way, and that's the link between the card and your second PC.

Low DMA speed goes through the rest. If it still shows, open a ticket in our Discord with a screenshot of the whole log. Every other error is in DMA error messages.
