MewDMA forum rules and where to ask

Questions before you buy go on the forum, where the answer helps the next person too. Anything tied to your order or your firmware file is a ticket in our Discord.

Where to post

  Questions before you buy, and help with setup: motherboards, slots, cables, drivers, flashing, speed tests. Say which card and second computer you have and what you've tried.
• Configs and settings
  Configs and settings that work, or don't.
• Showcase
  Your setup and your clips. Photos welcome.
• Suggestions
  Ideas for the site, the shop or the forum.
• General Discussion
  Anything else gaming. FERRUM, MAKCU and software are fine to talk about. Other sellers aren't.

Only staff start topics in FAQ, Announcements and Updates.

Never post your DNA ID, your msinfo32 report or your order number on the forum. Those go on your order page or in your ticket.

Asking so you get an answer

• Search first. A lot of questions have been asked before, and the Learn posts cover the whole setup.
• Put the problem in the title, like "MAKCU not showing a COM port on an OptiPlex 7070" rather than "help".
• Give the details in your first post: your card, your main PC's motherboard, your second computer, what you did and what happened. A screenshot of the error saves a round of questions.
• Mark the answer. In Help and support, when a reply fixes it, press Mark as answer on it. The next person sees what worked, and the helper gets 20 points. Helpful is for any post you found useful, and gives its writer 4.

You need to confirm your email before you can post, vouch or review. Until then you can read everything.

The rules

The full list is in Forum rules, pinned at the top of the forum, and our terms have a section on it too. The main ones:

• Be respectful on the forum, in reviews and in our Discord. No harassment, hate, threats, spam, scams, illegal content or other people's private information.
• Don't share or sell other people's files, firmware or accounts.
• Reviews must be honest and about something you really bought.
• No talk about competing sellers. It keeps the drama away. FERRUM, MAKCU and software are fine.
• No ads, referral links, cheat source, leaks or cracks.
• Staff never DM you first and never ask you to pay outside checkout.
• One account per person.
• A ban from the site, for example for scamming other members, ends your warranty.

And a few things the site checks for you:

• The same words twice in a day are refused as spam. Edit your first post instead.
• Up to 30 posts an hour, and 6 new topics an hour or 20 a day.
• Mentions. Typing @ and a name tells that person, and only the first 5 names in a post get told.
• Quotes. Use the Quote button on a post. A quote has to match what that person really wrote, and cutting words out is fine. A quote you type yourself can't be made to look like staff said it.
• Look-alike names. Usernames that look like staff or the shop, like "phant0m", "Kolpy_" or "MewDMA_Support", are refused at sign-up and when you rename.

Moderators can remove posts and mute or ban accounts that break the rules. A muted account can read but not post, and both cost points, which How rank points work explains. To report something or appeal, open a ticket in our Discord.

Why your link is held

If your account is below Comet rank (120 points), an outside link in your post shows as "(link held for review)" until a moderator looks at it. Your post still goes up straight away, and only the link waits. From 120 points your links go live as soon as you post.

Spam is nearly always links, and a brand-new account posting one is how most spam runs start. Holding the link costs an honest newcomer one short wait. For the same reason, below Comet you can't put links or web addresses in messages, vouches, your bio or your signature at all, and you can start conversations with 5 new people a day (25 at Comet). How rank points work shows the quickest ways up.

Pictures

Pictures in posts are checked automatically. A picture the check turns down stops the post, and you're told which one so you can take it out and post the rest. One the check isn't sure about is held: your words go up, and readers see "Image under manual review" in its place until a moderator looks. Past 4 pictures in one post, the extra ones always wait for a moderator.

Our Discord

• Join and verify.
  Join at discord.gg/mewdma and verify when the server asks. That gives you the Mew role.
• Link it to your MewDMA account.
  Open Settings, find Connected accounts and press Link Discord. Once you have a paid order you get the Customer role, and the MiTM role if you run MiTM, within a couple of minutes of being in the server and verified. Linking also lets you sign in with Discord and gives you 25 points, once.
• Open a ticket for anything about your order. After you order says what to send.
