What this is
MAKCU sits between your mouse and your two computers, and at $25 it is the cheapest part of a full setup. Your mouse plugs into it, it plugs into both computers, and your main PC just sees a normal mouse.
What it does
- Three ports on the front edge.
Hold MAKCU with the three ports pointing towards you. Your left goes to your main PC, the middle to your second computer, and your mouse plugs into the one on your right. - Passes your mouse straight through.
Your mouse movement goes through untouched. - Takes commands from your second computer.
A third cable runs to the second computer, which opens a serial port and sends MAKCU commands. Those commands and your mouse movement go out together. - Arrives pre-flashed.
v3 full passthrough firmware is on it, so there is nothing to flash until v4 is released.
Good to know
- 1000 Hz, and no faster.
No firmware can change that. For 8000 Hz you want FERRUM. - Software isn't included.

makcu.com says MAKCU supports keyboards as well as mice. Its information page lists firmware 3.9 for keyboards. Don't update it yourself: ask in a ticket first. - Wireless works too.

Yes, if it has its own USB receiver. Plug the receiver in where the mouse would go. Bluetooth doesn't work, because a Bluetooth mouse talks to your PC directly and never goes through the device.
Yes. Our case has buttons that press MAKCU's buttons, so you never have to take it out. You use them to flash new firmware, or to switch the serial link to 4 Mbps (makcu.com says to press the left one four times fast).

MAKCU: the CH343 driver. MAKCU's setup page explains it and links the download. Firmware updates are on makcu.com in Chrome or Edge, and the files are on GitHub.
Put the main PC cable in a port on the back of your motherboard first. Front and top ports can work, but they go through a cable inside the case and can cause dropouts, so use a rear port. Most mice work, wired or wireless with their own USB receiver, but not every one, and Bluetooth does not go through. Check the COM port number and baud rate match what your software expects. Still nothing? Open a ticket in Discord with your motherboard and mouse model. If the unit is faulty, the three months of warranty cover it.
Three months on all of our hardware. Everything is tested before it ships. If a card, fuser or aim device does arrive faulty or develops a hardware fault in that time, show us proof and we replace it. Open a ticket in our Discord. It covers the hardware, not software that will not talk to it, but open a ticket for that too and we will help.
We ship anywhere, free and tracked. Parcels ship in 1–2 days, not counting Sundays, then take 7 to 10 working days, or 3 to 5 with $30 express, for delivery. Customs and import fees are down to your own country, so if they are charged, they are yours to pay. If customs sends a parcel back, we reship it by express at no cost.
